The Caboose (Above)
A couple blocks north of Broadway Street on Oak Street you’ll find the Parkway Motel. Next to the motel you’ll find a 1956 Milwaukee Road Caboose.
Apparently at one time there was a second Soo Line Caboose that was rented out as a room. It’s gone now and I have no idea where it went.
The Rail Dog Caboose is still on the corner to see. I never had the chance to taste a Rail dog or a Polish Taco, but I wish I had. Still even just to look, it’s worth the walk up Oak Street to check it out the old caboose..
